At these events, she shared her insights and experiences to assist both individuals navigating careers and organizations eager to retain women. With a Master of Marketing Research degree, she began her career with Colgate-Palmolive in New York, followed by positions in beverage consulting and healthcare marketing/strategic planning in New Orleans. Evaluating limited options after the birth of her first child stimulated her interest in the area of work-life flexibility. The next 13 years brought three more children and moves to Houston, London, Dallas, and back to Houston. She created non-linear marketing research roles in each location to “test market” her ideas on flexible careers. In 2007, she attended the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth for its Back in Business program, a pioneering program designed to update and refresh the management skills of business professionals re-entering the workforce. This experience launched her career in the direction of workplace flexibility. Betsy was integrally involved in the development and expansion of YourOnRamp, an online resource for women in career transition with international reach. Her background has honed her talent as an effective and experienced architect of unbiased research and strategic planning.
